Middle Georgia’s first, and only, provider of Precision Ag Multispectral Imagery

If you are a Georgia farmer or agronomist who uses satellite crop health data, Georgia GEO is now your source for identical data 480X more detailed.  Early warning for field issues.  Data for Variable-Rate Prescriptions and more.

Protect the hard work that has gone into a crop.

Imagine sitting at your breakfast table planning the day.  On your mobile device, you look at a color-coded image of your 500 acres (or 40, or 1000) overlaid on Google Earth.  This data came to you less than 24 hours ago, from a drone flying a high-resolution Multispectral camera.  The data was processed at the field’s edge and sent to you via internet yesterday,  an hour after the drone landed.

Green is good.  No worries.

Red is bad and deserves your attention.   Red means there could be pest activity, there could be a pathogen just now becoming established, there could be an irrigation problem.  You don’t know what is causing the problem, but now you know exactly  where to go to find out. You were briefed yesterday by your Georgia GEO multispectral imagery specialist on the results of the imagery.

You know you can skip all the green areas.   When you arrive at the field, you go directly to the areas showing red.  You or your Agronomist determine the cause of the problem, and formulate a time-critical solution.

Thanks to the intuitive, color-coded date, no need to walk the rest of the field, spreading the very pathogen you are trying to prevent.

Later in the season, you’re holding in your hand a Variable Rate Prescription generated when we correlated your Agronomist’s Soil Sampling data with the RED NDVI Canopy Chlorophyll Content analysis as just one part of our many Multispectral datasets.  Now it can be loaded into your application equipment’s GPS and apply only what is needed to ensure the best yield.

Agriculture Chemicals are expensive. It’s quite possible you just recouped the cost of your multispectral data and then some.

Georgia GEO LLC can help Middle Georgia growers ensure fields and orchards are the healthiest they can be.  We have the tools to help find the problems that may be threatening your hard-won efforts and yields.  Georgia GEO knows where….and how….to look for trouble.

Rather than walk to inspect a crop stand or orchard, fly them in a fraction of the time.

Georgia GEO deploys unmanned aerial systems (UAS) flying special camera equipment to conduct airborne crop surveys at regular, timed intervals throughout the entire growing season, from emergence to harvest.  We can immediately alert the grower to problems which may be showing up in the fields or orchards.

Your crop is trying to show you something…

Often, by the time distress is apparent to the naked eye….damage is well underway.  Georgia GEO gives the grower or orchard manager early warning and the unique perspective to see how their crop is affected by pests, pathogens, or irrigation issues before the plants show visible signs of stress.

Would that be an advantage?  Absolutely.

Other specialized information we offer the grower:

    • Immediately Post-emergent plant counts
    • Plant heights (measured within 1/2″) throughout the field
    • Plant stress due to Pathogens, Pests, Irrigation issues, Storm Damage
    • Chlorophyll, biomass, and soil nutrient measurements
    • Variable-Rate Prescriptions
    • Yield estimates
    • Weed pressure

…we help you see it.

Georgia GEO LLC can identify all these factors, answer these questions, and more.  Flying state-of-the-art airborne multi-spectral sensors,

we…see…everything.

Precision Ag Multispectral survey mapping shows locations of stressed crop stands

The grower can see it too.  Imagery processed immediately at the field’s edge.   We can show within minutes after our drone lands, problem areas which indicate threats to the health of a crop.  Georgia GEO offers the information needed for time-critical decisions;  the decisions that prevent small problems from becoming big ones.

We’ve been on the farm, and in the air.

Georgia GEO‘s Pilots have been flying fixed and rotary-wing RC aircraft for 25 years.   Flight Safety is paramount.

In younger days, I worked the tobacco and cucumber fields of North Carolina and later, the soybean fields of Arkansas.  I’ve seen what it takes to run a farm.

A consuming passion for aviation and love for the farm is what drives Georgia GEO to work for the benefit of the farmer. Professionalism, Safety, and Competence are our benchmarks.  Georgia GEO drone pilots are fully FAA-qualified, certified, and insured.   We consider this to be very serious business, for both Grower and the pilots at Georgia GEO.  We look forward to offering our talents and enthusiasm to provide value-added information to the Farmers, Agronomists and Orchard Managers of the great State of Georgia.

What specific pathogens, pests, or nutrient deficiencies can Multi-spectral Imagery identify?

As of now, there is no instrumentation AYWHERE which can identify the specific cause of problems in a crop stand.  However, Georgia GEO can identify areas exhibiting symptoms of a crop under duress and areas exhibiting lagging growth rates. ”Ground Truthing” is then employed.  It is the method of sending a competent observer out in the field to assess the actual cause of the plant stress locations revealed in the multispectral imagery.

What if no problems are indicated on the imagery?

You’re doing it right.

Can the necessary data be uploaded to my Precision Ag equipment to guide treatment?

Yes.  GPS geo-tagged data is part of the survey imagery and is downloadable to almost every Precision Agriculture application out there.
